Braids make hair dance

Add a turban to give it a pop of color.

Head bands give your braids a bohemian look
Everywhere I go, I can’t help but notice how ladies just love keeping their crowns in braids. This easily manageable hairstyle has been seen on red carpets for years, but only now does it have such an impact. Singer and actress Solange Knowles did no justice to this trend when she pulled the longer, thicker style recently. Many girls went craaaazyyyy when they realised that the hairstyle is not only affordable but it can be done by any kind of hair type. I’m talking relaxed hair and afros. While everyone was trying to adjust to the return of braids, 5FM DJ and model Poppy Ntshongwana gave the hairstyle a twist by giving it bangs. Wow, talk about bringing sexy to a hairstyle. IT girl Bonang Matheba rocked the short twisted version, while South African sexiest woman Boitumelo ‘Boity’ Thulo gave it a brown shiny colour. Truth is, a few years ago, if one had braids on, we’d think she is too outdated for words. But guess what, one can also throw in a bit of accessories by tying a tiburn, to add a bit of vintage flair. A nice neat bun would make a simple yet quirky style for our ladies. So if u low on budget, or feel like you were not part of this trend, do not fret. You can still rock it, because this trend is about to stay. Happy braiding ladies
